WOW Releases Entertainment Schedule & Non-Profit Partners For This Weekend’s Festival Of Trees

WILMINGTON, MA — We’re One Wilmington’s (WOW) 6th Annual Festival of Trees is this weekend!  The event will take place on Saturday, December 3rd from 9AM to 9PM and Sunday, December 4th from 9AM to 3PM at Villanova Hall, 126 Middlesex Avenue in Wilmington. Admission is free for this family-friendly event. Try your chance at winning any of the fantastic trees, baskets and wreaths – raffle tickets will be sold for $10 per sheet of 25.

The themes are always creative.  Some highlights this year include a “Wines of the World” tree, “Boston You’re My Home!” (with Celtics tickets), and “A Run with a View” which includes a $1,000 Amazon gift card!

Entertainment Schedule

The Festival will feature a weekend filled with holiday music, including:

Saturday, December 3, 2016
 11-11:30am Elisabeth Hayduk (WMS) and Danilo Bonina, Violin
 11:45am-12:45pm Too Klez for Comfort, Dance Band Playing a variety of Traditional Klezmer, Jewish, Jazz, Latin, and Original Works
 1-2pm Fun Singers, Buzzell Senior Center
 3-4pm Laine Stockman, Piano, WMS
 4:30-5pm Emily Strong, Vocalist. WMS
Sunday, December 4, 2016
 10am-12pm Holiday Card Creating Project, Creative Arts, Reading, MA
 10:30-11am Creative Arts Vocalist Group, Creative Arts, Reading, MA
 12-12:30pm Soundscape, WHS A Capella Group
 1-2pm Ben Packer, Piano, WHS

Non-Profit Fundraisers

We are delighted that several community groups will be on hand at the Festival selling items for their winter fundraisers including: the Wilmington Community Fund (Ornaments), Boy Scouts (Wreaths), Northside PAC (Wildcat Gear), Wilmington Wildcat Band (Harrow’s Gift Cards), Wilmington WHS CATS (Its Showtime Raffle), St. Thomas Confirmation Candidates (Poinsettias), and Friends of 9 Cross Street (Bricks).  Bracelets and get-well cards will also be available in support of Kelly Strong.

Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase holiday gifts for local families in need and to help fund WOW’s other good will initiatives throughout the year.
