POLICE LOG for November 20: Mailboxes Damaged Overnight; Dumpster Fire; Dog Chase

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, November 20, 2016:

  • An Aldrich Road resident reported their mailbox was knocked off its post sometime overnight. (8:33am)
  • A School Street resident reported their mailbox was knocked off its post sometime overnight. (9:24am)
  • A caller reported an unleashed dog on Manning Street chased her and the dog’s owner made no attempt to retrieve dog. Police spoke with the owner and advised them to keep the animal under control. (10:24am)
  • A Shell Gas station employee reported 2 females just passed them Canadian money and left in a black truck. Police responded and determined no crime was committed. Females used US coin currency. (10:32am)
  • A caller reported a white man, wearing a red hat, was standing on the side of Salem Street looking up at trees and a transformer for approximately 20-25 minutes. Police responded. Man was a subcontractor for Reading Municipal Light. (10:33am)
  • Fire Department extinguished a dumpster fire at Burger King. (1:10pm)
