WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, November 19, 2016:
- A Wilton Drive caller reported he heard what he believed to be gunshots in the neighborhood. Police found no audible proof of gunshots. (1:18am) The man later reported people were shooting behind his neighbor’s house. (12:04pm)
- A dog was struck by a vehicle near Country Chef on Main Street. Dog was brown with a red collar, with an apparent leg injury. By the time police arrived, the dog was gone from the area. (9:46am)
- An employee at Citizens Bank on Main Street reported around 10:30am, a male customer was upset about not being able to access one of his accounts and damaged the front door on his way out. (11:53am)
- A Redwood Terrace resident reported her package was stolen from her front porch. Resident later informed police that the package was mistakenly delivered to a neighbor’s house and was then given to her. No theft occurred. (4:26pm)
- A white Crown Victoria and a white 2001 Dodge Ram were involved in a crash at Adelaide Street and Church Street. The Victoria left the scene. Police issued a BOLO for an older model Ford Crown Victoria with front end damage. A large amount of debris was in the roadway. Police notified DPW for clean-up. Police were unable to locate vehicle. (11:17pm)
