Santa To Travel Around Wilmington On December 10, Locations Announced

WILMINGTON, MA — The second annual Wilmington Santa Run (aka “Santa Parade”) is scheduled for Saturday, December 10, from 9am to 4pm.

Santa, traveling with a small parade of public safety vehicles, will be stopping at FIVE locations around town — the Shawsheen Elementary School, the Wildwood Early Childhood Center, the Woburn Street Elementary School, the North Intermediate School, and Town Hall.

Below is the schedule:

9:00am-10:00am — Shawsheen School – in the parking lot
10:30am-11:30am — Wildwood School – in the front of the school
12:00pm-1:00pm — Woburn Street School – side lot by the basketball courts
1:30pm-2:30pm —  North Intermediate – side lot (Ballardvale St. side)
3:00pm-4:00pm — Town Hall

Each stop, which lasts for one hour, will feature various Christmas activities, including a meet & greet with Santa; singing Christmas carols with Santa and friends; taking pictures with Santa and of the emergency vehicles & tow trucks; and writing a Christmas letter to Massachusetts soldiers overseas.

“This year, we want to bring the holiday season to a whole new level.  There are so many in need during this holiday season. Santa and his friends are eager to help and can’t do it alone. We need your help,” writes organizer WPD Officer Daniel Furbush. “At each stop, Santa and his helpers will be collecting toys for the Toys for Wilmington Children program and food for the Wilmington Food Pantry. Bring a new toy, puzzle or game (unwrapped) or a food item with you during your visit and we’ll make sure it is given to a needy family of Wilmington. Drop off will be with the 2nd A&S truck behind Santa. Also, if you and your children would like to write a holiday letter to our Massachusetts soldiers that are away from home this year, you can bring letters or have some fun and make them there (see lead police car). We will mail them out.”
