POLICE LOG for November 14: Wire Falls On School Bus; Pitbull Complaint; Car vs. Guardrail

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, November 14, 2016:

  • Police responded to a low hanging wire touching a school bus on Brand Avenue. Police notified the Shawsheen School that the bus may be late. The Fire Department cut the wire. Comcast was notified. (8:20am)
  • Police notified DPW that pieces of a car — tire, rim and part of a front end — were stuck underneath a guardrail on Chestnut Street and needed to be removed. (1:09pm)
  • A caller reported her sister has been missing for 3 months and used to work for a hair salon in Wilmington. All provided contact information for the sister was invalid. Police took a report. (1:17pm)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to complaint that a pitbull on Lords Court was constantly loose and aggressive towards people. (2:11pm)
  • A caller reported her parked 2015 Chevy Colorado was struck while inside Market Basket. The other driver left the scene without providing any information. (3:45pm)
  • A Wilton Drive caller reported that his credit card receipts were stolen yesterday out of his garage. (6:16pm)
  • An Old Ballardvale Street resident reported his back slider door was open upon his arrival and requested an officer check house with him. Police completed a walk through and everything checked OK. (9:42pm)
