10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (November 22)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 42. West wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. At night, it will be mostly clear, with a low around 27. Northwest wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.

#2) Tickets for Thursday’s Wilmington-Tewksbury Football Game is on sale today from 8:30am to 1pm at the Wilmington High School Main Office. Advanced tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.  Cash only. Tickets will be on sale for $10 at the gate.  Also, the Annual Powderpuff Game takes place TONIGHT at 5:30pm at Alumni Stadium. 

#3) The Wilmington Congregational Church (220 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Red Cross Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm. Learn more HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Board of Library Trustees meets at 7pm in the Library’s Banda Room. Read the agenda HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) will be holding a creative writing skill building workshop at 7pm. Learn more and register HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is hosting its normal Tuesday activities:

  • Zumba (9am)
  • Aerobics (10:30am)
  • Wii Bowling (12:30pm)

#7) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

#8) Red Heat Tavern is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.

#9) Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones.  Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks!  A luncheon is served as noon.  There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.
