WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Marching Band is holding its Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive on Saturday, November 19, from 9am to 3pm.
Students will be collecting non-perishable food donations from shoppers at Market Basket (260 Main Street) and Lucci’s Supermarket (211 Lowell Street). Look for them outside the stores’ entrances and exits!
Last year, the 6-hour food drive collected 448 bags of food! Thanks to cash donations, students were also able to purchase 60 pounds of butter, 60 boxes of mints, and 30 jars of gravy.
All collected food will be donated to the Wilmington Food Pantry. The Pantry will be distributing Thanksgiving baskets to its clients on Monday, November 21, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
