DRACUT, MA — Michael Liggiero Jr., 49, died on November 14, 2016, at his home in Dracut.
He was born Nov. 29, 1966, in Woburn, son of Michael and Carmella (Ruggiero) Liggiero.
Michael grew up in Wilmington, and was a graduate of Wilmington High School, Class of 1985. He later graduated from Merrimack College in Andover, Mass., where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in accounting.
Michael spent several years working as an accountant. He resided in Dracut for the past 13 years and was formerly of Billerica.
Michael was a former communicant of St. Thomas Church in Wilmington, Mass.
He was an avid sports fan, who loved all his New England teams. His passion for sports continued as a fan, watching his nieces and nephews at their sporting events. Michael just truly appreciated spending time with his family.
Michael enjoyed camping of all kinds, but his favorite trips were the ones where he slept in a tent.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Carmella Liggiero; sister Maria Spinelli; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Sheryl Liggiero; nieces and nephews Anthony, Nicolas, Domenic, Gianna, Sheri, Marissa, Nicole and Jessica; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, N.H.
A funeral service will follow on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, N.H., at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
