POLICE LOG for November 8: Scary Situation At Skate Park; Stolen Laptop; Sounds Like Gunshots

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, November 8, 2016:

  • A green 2005 Hyundai Sonata and a gray 2014 Honda Accord were involved in a crash at Lowell Street and the 93 South ramp. Police & Fire responded. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. (7:31am)
  • A walk-in party reported an ongoing issue with what he believes are gun shots on Cottonwood Circle between 1am and 4am. Police advised him to contact the station when it happens so a cruiser can check the area. (2:05pm)
  • A caller reported several older males were in the Shawsheen Skate Park offering young children drugs. Caller then stated the older males were leaving the area, in the an unknown direction, on 2 scooters and 1 bike. One male was in a black/orange shorts and a blue baseball hat. Another had a black sweatshirt. Police responded. Children using skate park said they were asked it they wanted to get high, but nothing was shown or offered to them. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the males in question. (2:31pm)
  • A laptop was reported stolen from a black 2007 Honda Accord parked in an Aldrich Road driveway. (5:06pm)
  • A caller reported a man loitering in front of the Woburn St. School with a backpack and camping light. Police checked the school and surrounding areas.  The man was not located. (7:51pm)
