POLICE LOG for November 5: Sonic Customer Threatens Gun Violence Over Dr. Pepper; Misbehaving Teens

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, November 5, 2016:

  • A gray 2006 Toyota Corolla and a gray 2012 Subaru Forester were involved in a crash at Middlesex Avenue and Route 62.  No injures noted. (8:54am)
  • Police received 2 consecutive 911 hangups from Care One At Wilmington. Upon callback, police spoke with employee who confirmed it was a misdial by resident. (9:48am)
  • A blue 2006 Toyota Matrix and a black 2014 Honda Odyssey were involved in a crash at Salem Street and Cunningham Street. One car towed. No injuries noted. (10:18am)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported her neighbor was shooting some type of pellet gun. Police responded. Source of the noise was not a pellet gun, but fireworks. (12:19pm)
  • A Grove Avenue caller reported a contractor doing work on a nearby home damaged her fence with his trailer.  Police spoke to operator, who will return to work site on Monday and repair damage to fence.  (12:38pm)
  • A caller reported a woman was possibly sleeping in a vehicle at Body Infusion on Shawsheen Avenue. Police responded. Woman checked OK — just had her head down reading. (12:45pm)
  • A walk-in party reported her vehicle was struck in the Market Basket parking lot this afternoon. Woman will contact plaza to obtain video if possible. (2:24pm)
  • An employee reported she was threatened by a male customer driving a grey Honda sedan. Employee claimed man said he’d return with shotgun.  He was upset because the restaurant didn’t have Dr. Pepper. (2:54pm)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported 2 juveniles were on her property with flashlights. Police located juveniles on Woburn Street. Police transported juveniles to their home and was placed in the custody of their father. A third juvenile ran from the cruiser and police were unable to locate. (7:54pm)
  • A landlord on Aldrich Road reported a tenant on the third floor was having a loud party, possibly with minors consuming alcohol. Police responded. Home was quiet, but several cars in the driveway. The third floor tenant refused to open the door to speak with officers. Police advised landlord. (10:42pm)
  • Police received a report of a group of kids attempting to get on the roof of the Shawsheen Elementary School. Police responded. Youths were already heading back to Ohio Street. (11:24pm)
