POLICE LOG for November 4: 2 Summons Issued; Suspected Drunk Driving; Suspected Marijuana Use

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, November 4, 2016:

  • Yamarco Guzman (22, Methuen) was issued a summons for a license plate violation and failure to signal. Guzman was pulled over at West Street and Lowell Street. Vehicle was towed. (3:53am)
  • A Fed Ex Manager called to report an employee emanating an odor of alcohol.  When the manager requested a random alcohol test the employee quit and left in a green Toyota Camry. Caller was concerned over possible drunk driving. Police was unable to locate vehicle. (4:28am)
  • A black 2017 Kia Forte struck a pole on Andover Street.  Portion of street was closed to traffic. RMLD notified. No injuries noted. Driver received citation for speeding. (6:06am)
  • Police assisted State Police with traffic control on 93 North, north of Exit 39, due to a fuel spill. (6:24am)
  • A Ledgewood Road caller reported an IRS scam call. (12:15pm)
  • A two-vehicle crash resulted in a railroad crossing pole down in the road. Police notified Keolis, who responded and repaired the gate before the next train came through. (5:30pm)
  • Police received a report of several parties smoking marijuana on Burlington Avenue. Parties were gone by the time police arrived. (9:31pm)
  • A resident from Wilmington, Vermont accidentally called the Wilmington, Massachusetts police over a motor vehicle lockout. Police gave her the correct phone number. (10:58pm)
  • Police issued a summons for Nicholas E. Reardon (25, Beverly) for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and having an uninsured motor vehicle. Reardon was pulled over at Rotue 125 and Ballardvale Street. Vehicle was towed. (11:16pm)
