WORCESTER, MA — Wilmington’s Ashleigh Howland, a junior forward on Worcester State University’s women’s soccer team, was named this week’s “Player of the Week” from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC).
Howland scored the game-winning goal to give her team — The Worcester State Lancers — the 2-1 win in the MASCAC Tournament Championship last week. Howland was named the Tournament MVP.
Howland leads her team with 15 points, including six goals and three assists.
