10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (November 9)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will likely see showers, mainly after 1pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

#2) The Harlem Superstars Comedy Basketball Team will battle the Wilmington Faculty Dream Team at 6:30pm in the Wilmington High Gym.  Tickets cost $10 at the door.  Proceeds benefit the WHS DECA Club. Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Health Department is holding a FREE flu clinic for residents from 5pm to 7pm at the Town Hall.  Learn more HERE.

#4) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm at Wilmington High School (Large Instruction Room). Read the agenda HERE

#5) The Wilmington Board of Appeals meets at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a program called “Backing Up Your Computer by Cloning” at 7pm. Learn more and register HERE.

#7) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities:

  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Country Line Dancing (1pm)
  • Yoga (3:45pm)

#8) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
