POLICE LOG for October 30: Crash At Wildwood Cemetery; Odd Behavior At Market Basket

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, October 30, 2016:

  • Police checked on a group of youths in the Market Basket parking lot. Youths were throwing trash around. Police confiscated a small amount of Class D substance. Police sent the parties on their way. (3:39am)
  • A caller reported his family in Mexico has been kidnapped and is on the line with another party demanding $50,000. (3:55pm)
  • A white 2015 Nissan Murano struck a pole in front of the Wildwood Cemetery. Guard rail along cemetery and granite marker at entrance of cemetery were damaged. RMLD and Verizon notified. Vehicle was towed. (4:39pm)
  • A caller reported an older man with a hat was chasing people down, pointing to the sky, and saying “there’s the FBI.” Police sent the man on his way and advised Market Basket that they can pursues a trespass over if behavior continues. (4:47pm)
  • A  caller reported a male and female appeared under the influence at Game Stop in Wilmington. Police responded and parties checked OK. (5:56pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout on Fourth Avenue. (6:33pm)
  • Kyle D. Boucher (22, North Reading) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Boucher was pulled over on Concord Street. Vehicle towed. (10:55pm)
