BILLERICA, MA — The Shawsheen Tech Institute is inviting Wilmington residents to an important community forum — “Understanding The Teen Brain & How It’s Primed For Addiction” — on Thursday, November 3, from 7pm to 9:15pm, at the Shawsheen Tech (100 Cook Street, Billerica).
Who has not been touched by addiction? Who among us is not concerned about the current addiction crisis, especially among teens? Learn from expert Kristy McNeal, a member of the Shawsheen health education faculty, about teen psychology and teen vulnerability to addictive substances. Central to this workshop will be a discussion of best practices currently used at Shawsheen as well as other schools to identify “at -risk” teens and provide them with meaningful assistance.
