Help Wilmington Kids In Need: “Adopt-A-Family” Holiday Program Returns

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Community Fund annually coordinates the efforts and generosities of community groups and individuals to provide festive holidays for many Wilmington families.

Their “Adopt-A-Family” program works by anonymously pairing Wilmington children in need with donors. Donors can choose to fully sponsor a child with a commitment of $150-200, or make a smaller monetary donation to our general fund. Donors who sponsor a child can also choose to do shop for their child with a provided wishlist, or can let our dedicated team of elves handle the running around.

Sponsorship can be on an individual or group/organization level. Many of their sponsors have joined with family members, co-workers or friends and sponsored a child together. Whether in memory of a loved one, in lieu of an office gift-exchange, or simply “just because,” your help is truly appreciated!

The 2016 program has begun and generally wraps up a few weeks before Christmas. Last year, the Community Fund assisted over 70 Wilmington children through the holiday program.

If you’re interested in being a part of the program, please email the Fund for more information at wilmcf@verizon.net.
