Cookin’ the Books *RR

Featured Cookbook: Zahav by Michael Solonov
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this book group is for you. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy (or find a recipe from the book online), select a recipe, and then email your recipe selection to book club leader Lisa Crispin (lcrispin@wilmlibrary.org). Bring your dish to the meeting, enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes, and enjoy the company. Come hungry!
Hands-on with Microsoft PowerPoint *RR
Wednesday, November 2, 7 pm
Join technology librarian Brad McKenna for a hands-on exercise with Microsoft PowerPoint. In this class you’ll learn how to insert text, apply animations and transitions, insert charts from an Excel workbook, and more. A handout for additional practice will be provided.

Featured Book: A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
A social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month. The book discussion will be hosted by librarians from the Wilmington and Reading public libraries. Meeting location this month is at Oye’s restaurant in Reading.

If you love to write and seek feedback, then join our writing group. Please bring up to five pages of written work to the meeting. Open to all genres and levels. Trivia Tuesdays: Teens Take on Fandoms *RR
Tuesday, November 1, 6:30 pm
Show us your smarts at pub-style trivia! Play against your parents and friends, putting your pop culture knowledge to the test. The winning team walks off with prizes (and bragging rights!). Snacks are provided. Grades 6-12.
Mad Science of Greater Boston Present Egg-bert ‘N’ Ice *RR
Wednesday, November 2, 6:30 pm
Children will be dazzled and entertained as they interact with our Mad Scientist. The show includes foggy dry ice and demonstrations of how science is used to float beach balls in the air. And, with suggestions from the audience, the Mad Scientist will unlock the mystery of how to get “Egg-bert” back into his house. Ever see scissors sizzle and shiver? Ever taken a bubble shower? Here’s your chance! Ages 4+.
