WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Saturday, October 29, 2016.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see increasing clouds, with a high near 55. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
#2) Grace Chapel (128 West Street) invites the public to its first annual Harvest Fest from 1pm to 4pm. (Rain date of Sunday, October 30, 2pm to 5pm.) The event will feature live music, a petting zoo, bouncy house, obstacle course, pumpkin painting, face painting, photo booth, games, and free snacks. Admission and parking is FREE.
#3) Calling all Monsters and Ghouls! Join the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks for a Halloween “Spook-tac-u-lar,” from 8pm to midnight, at the Elks Lodge (777 South Street, Tewksbury). Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets cost $10 per person and will be available at the door. The evening will include music, games, raffles, a cash bar, and prizes for best costumes in the categories of most original, scariest, and best couple.
#4) Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is holding its Annual Harvest & Holly Fair from 9am to 2pm. The event will include: a pumpkin patch; hand-crafted goods and decorations; coffee & pastries; baked goods; homemade pies; used books; popcorn; plants; children’s activities; country store; white elephant table; used jewelry; fudge; jams & jellies; frozen entrees to go; and luncheon (starts at 11am). Admission and parking is FREE. The event is sponsored by the Wilmington & Tewksbury United Methodist Women. Proceeds will benefit their mission trips.
#5) The Wilmington United Methodist Church is hosting a pumpkin patch on its front lawn from Sunday, October 16 to Monday, October 31, between 11am and 7pm. Proceeds from this new fundraiser will benefit the church’s 2017 youth mission projects. Story times will be held in the patch daily at 4pm. Preschools and daycares are encouraged to register for story times by calling the church at 978-658-4519. S’more Dance Parties will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm. Come for a snack at the fire pit and dance into the evening with your friends.
#6) Residents can “vote early” in the Presidential Election TODAY from 9am to 1pm at Town Hall. Learn more HERE.

#8) Weather permitting, Wilmington High School’s JV Football team travels to Belmont at 9:30am.
