10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (October 26)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 48.

#2) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm at Wilmington High School (Large Instruction Room). Read the agenda HERE.  Wilmington Apple will be live-tweeting HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs:

  • Relaxation for Preschool Children (10am-11am)
  • Imagination Celebration with Cindi Haggerty (3:45pm-4:45pm)
  • Music & More with Bernadette Baird (6:30pm-7:15pm)

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities:

  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Country Line Dancing (1pm)
  • Yoga (3:45pm)

  • 3:45 pm — GIRLS Varsity Field Hockey @ Burlington

  • 4:00 pm — GIRLS JV Soccer vs Salem Academy Charter School (at Shawsheen School)

#6) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#8) Residents can “vote early” in the Presidential Election TODAY from 8:30am to 4:30pm at Town Hall.  Learn more HERE.

#9) High school students and parents are invited to the Reading Co-Operative College Fair from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road).  More than 100 colleges and universities will be present.

#10) The WHS Girls Hockey team is holding sign-ups right after school in the High School Cafeteria.
