SELECTMEN NEWS: Big Issues To Be Discussed At Tonight’s Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, October 24, at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There is a good deal on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will receive an update from Wilmington Police Chief Michael Begonis on the Police Department’s new firing range.
  • Selectmen will receive an update from Cathy Ober of the Wilmington Farmers Market to receive a recap of market’s 2016 season.
  • Selectmen will receive an invitation from Veterans Agent Lou Cimaglia to participate in Wilmington’s Veterans’ Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11 at 11am on the Town Common.
  • Selectmen will consider a request from Veterans Agent Lou Cimaglia to illuminate the Town Common green during the month of November in support of veterans.
  • Selectmen will sign the warrant for the Presidential Election to be held on Tuesday, November 8.
  • Selectmen will consider a request from We’re One Wilmington to place signs on the Town Common to promote Festival of Trees.
  • Selectmen will consider a request from Town Clerk Sharon George to appoint another election worker.
  • Selectmen will consider appointing Anne-Marie Fiore, Director of Technology for Wilmington Public Schools, to the Cable T.V. Advisory Task Force. Selectmen will also consider modifying the appointment of WCTV Executive Director Shaun Neville to the Task Force.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
