Adult Events
Opportunities at Middlesex Community College *RR
Monday, October 24, 10am
Jennifer Migliozzi, Assistant Director of Admissions at Middlesex Community College, will discuss opportunities available at Middlesex for job seekers and career changers, such as certificate programs and online degree programs, and assist those interested in the application process.
Creative Writing Skill Building *RR
Tuesday, October 25, 7 pm
Regional authors Ariele Sieling and Christopher Kellen, who are both self-published, take a closer look at strategies for creating a book that is both a quality product and affordable for the writer. They discuss the right — and the wrong — reasons for choosing to self-publish, tips for preparing a book for publication, and how to avoid common pitfalls.
This group is open to all who want to improve their writing skills and get their work published; led by local writing enthusiast Barbara Alevras. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials in advance.
Tarot Card Reading *RR
Thursday, October 27, 7 pm
Curious about tarot cards and how to use them? In this entertaining and hands-on talk Sally Cragin will introduce you to this fascinating pastime. She will discuss the history of the cards, the meaning of the “suits” (pentacles or discs, swords, wands and cups), and the “Trump” or Major Arcana cards. This program is for beginners, experienced readers, and curious folk.

Imagination Celebration with Cindi Haggerty *RR

A Dramatic Art Series that is an exploration in the creative, dramatic, and performing arts with a new format each week. All themes promote imagination, improvisation, and self-expression. Themes vary from dramatic yoga to narrative-based performance.
