WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, October 13, 2016:
- Roxane L. Deniso (41, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a licensed revoked for OUI and marked lanes violation. Deniso struck a food delivery truck near AJ’s Kitchen on Lowell Street. Food spilled onto the roadway. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. (8:34am)
- Caller reported cement trucks and large trucks going over Butters Row bridge exceeding the weight limit. Caller requested extra patrols, especially during rush hour. (9:16am)
- Police and Fire responded to fire alarm at High School. Residual smoke from a vape set off an alarm in the 2nd floor bathroom. (11:18am)
- A caller reported a Digiorno pizza box truck traveling north on Main Street has its back hatch completely open. Caller was concerned items were going to fall out and his vehicles. (12:11pm)
- Animal Control Officer retrieved a deceased cat on Nichols Street. Cat was a domestic-haired orange and white cat, not chipped. (1:14pm)
- A car vs. pedestrian incident was reported near the Registry of Motor Vehicles on Middlesex Avenue. The vehicle did not stop. Caller walked back home and called station stating vehilce was last seen heading towards Federal Street. Caller did not catch the license plate and gave only a partial description of the vehicle. Caller believed driver was female. Fire Department visited caller. Caller decided to go to the hospital. Police visited Dunkin Donuts and Shell Gas Station for witnesses and security footage. (6:47pm)
