WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Southwest wind around 6 mph.
#2) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm in the Wilmington High School’s Large Instruction Room. Read the agenda HERE. The Interim Superintendent of Schools is expected to be announced. Wilmington Apple will be live-tweeting the meeting HERE.
#3) Congressman Seth Moulton will be holding a Town Hall from 2pm to 2:45pm, at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Residents are invited to come and meet with Moulton and his staff. Learn more HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding TWO programs:
- Star Mag Meeting (3:45pm-4:45pm)
- Toe Jam Halloween Spooktacular (6:30pm-7:30pm)

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities:
- SBF Exercise (9:45am)
- Special Exercise (11am)
- Country Line Dancing (1pm)
- Yoga (3:45pm)

#6) Several Wilmington High School sports teams are in action:
- 3:45 pm — GIRLS Freshman Field Hockey vs Bishop Fenwick (at Wilmington High)
- 4:00 pm — GIRLS Freshman Volleyball vs Wakefield (at Wilmington High)
- 4:00 pm — GIRLS JV Volleyball vs Wakefield (at Wilmington High)
- 5:15 pm — GIRLS Varsity Volleyball vs Wakefield (at Wilmington High)
The Volleyball team is holding their annual “Dig Pink” games. At 5:15pm, the team has organized a bake sale and gift basket raffle to benefit breast cancer research.
#7) The Wilmington Knights of Columbus is organizing a Cornhole League on Wednesday nights, beginning October 19, at their headquarters (112 Middlesex Avenue). Each week, registration begins at 6:30pm. Games begin at 7pm. Cost is $10 per person. The league has a blind draw tournament play format. Each evening features cash prizes, 50/50 raffle, and weekly drink specials. All players are welcome — men, women, couples, beginners, intermediate and advanced. #8) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#10) Wilmington High School is holding its annual Mr. & Mrs. WHS Contest in the WHS Auditorium at 6:30pm.
