Cornhole Tournament To Benefit Local Vets At Wilmington KofC On October 22

WILMINGTON, MA — The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary of Tewksbury is holding a Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, October 22 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus (112 Middlesex Avenue).  Warmup begins at 11am. Tournament begins at noon.

Registration costs $35 per team and includes lunch and cash bar.  (Registration after October 20 costs $40 per team.)  Registration forms and instructions can be found HERE.

The Cornhole Tournament will allow the Tewksbury Disabled Americans Veterans Auxiliary to raise funds, and use them to buy Thanksgiving dinners for ten veteran families in Wilmington and ten veteran families in Tewksbury.

“We were able to sponsor dinners for five families in each town last year, and it was an incredibly humbling experience to drop the dinners off to each family, days before Thanksgiving,” said the Auxiliary Commander Richard Hersom, Jr. “My members can’t wait to drop off meals this year and to double the amount of families! With the help of funds raised at the tournament, we will be able to make 20 families very happy to not have to worry about buying their meal.”
