WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, October 7, 2016:
- A caller reported possible malicious damage done to her tire, which is now flat. Police responded. There were 3 small punctures in the side of the tire. The caller’s vehicle was parked in the Wrighter Group parking lot on Ballardvale Street. (12:09pm)
- Police notified the Public Buildings Department that the red light at the Middlesex Avenue/High Street intersection is out. (12:14pm)
- A citizen reported a hypodermic needle near St. Dorothy’s Church. Police retrieved the item and returned it to the station for destruction. (12:24pm)
- An employee at HUB International New England on Ballardvale Street reported a hawk flew into a window and appears injured on the crowd. Caller later reported the hawk flew away as the Animal Control Officer arrived. (12:46pm)
- A tractor trailer took down electric and telephone wires on Lopez Road. Police contacted RMLD, which restored power to the area. Verizon was notified and responded. (1:00pm)
- A Chestnut Street resident reported 8 Trump campaign signs have been stolen from his property over the past 2 weeks. The thefts occur at night. (1:28pm)
- A juvenile was reported missing from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (5:05pm)
- A walk-in party reported there will be a clown with a knife at the skate park on Shawsheen Avenue around 7pm. Police checked area. No clown sighted. (7:20pm)
- A Town Hall employee reported a group of juveniles were throwing objects at Town Hall. Police responded. Juveniles were gone upon arrival. Police observed trash strewn about the playing field. DPW was notified for clean up. (7:45pm)
- An Abundant Life employee reported several teen boys threw an assortment of beer over the fence of the school and drove off. (7:53pm)
