WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Saturday, October 15, 2016.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see areas of frost before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 59. Mostly clear, with a low around 37, tonight. Light south wind.
#2) The Northside PAC, serving the Woburn Street and the North Intermediate Schools, will be holding their 39th Annual Pumpkin Fair from 9am to 3pm at the Woburn Street School (227 Woburn Street). The event will feature a petting zoo, photo booth, games, pumpkin & cookie decorating, raffles and much more. Learn more HERE.
#3) The Friendship Lodge (32 Church Street) is holding an Open House from 9am to 3pm to raise awareness of who the Freemasons are and what they do. The Open House will feature kids’ fall activities, including pumpkin painting, crafts, and a bag toss game. Refreshments and snacks will be served. #4) A Public Rosary Crusade For America will be held at noon on the steps of St. Dorothy’s Church (11 Harnden Street). Learn more HERE.
#5) The Wilmington Kiwanis Club is holding its 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament from noon to 5pm, at the Bunting Club (449 Boylston Street, Tewksbury). Registration is $75 per team of two. (Checks are payable to the Kiwanis Club of Wilmington.) The tournament is double elimination. The event includes a BBQ lunch served at noon and a cash bar. Register by calling Greg Maynard at 781-548-0225. This fundraiser benefits Kiwanis charities, including scholarships to Wilmington students.
#6) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks Hall (777 South Street, Tewksbury) will be hosting a Psychic and Healing Fair from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
#7) Attention drivers! The State Police is holding a Sobriety Checkpoint Friday night into Saturday morning somewhere in Middlesex County. Learn more HERE.
#8) The WHS Boys JV Football Team travels to Watertown for a 9:30am game.
