WILMINGTON, MA — Gilda C. “Jean” (Salerno) Delaney, of Wilmington, previously of Somerville, passed away on October 10th. Beloved wife of the late Francis Delaney. Mother of Sean Delaney and his wife Cheryl and Daren and his wife Nancy all of North Reading. Daughter of the late Joseph and Columba Salerno. Sister of Nicholas Salerno, and Anna Messeuri. Gilda was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Bangs, Mary Coiro, Phyllis Campbell, and Josephine White. Grandmother of Daniela, Ryan, Gianna, and Hannah.
Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home on Friday, October 14th at 10am. Funeral Mass in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 11am. Relatives and friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in Gilda’s name to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, PO Box1245, Albert Lea, MN 56007-9976.
