Adult Events
How to be a Psychic *RR
Tuesday, October 11, 7 pm
“How To Tuesdays” is a new series that offers some “how to” advice on a variety of topics. Presenter Linda Sessa will discuss psychic experiences, techniques for opening your own channels, and the science that lies behind it all. We will end the session with a guided meditation.
The Robots Are Coming *RR
Wednesday, October 12, 7 pm
Speaker and humorist Richard Mullen will take us through the next ten years of expected technology disruption from driverless cars to shopping robots. Will we all be wearing computers that monitor our health? Will energy opportunities dwarf the dot.com boom? What is on the horizon today that seems like science friction but may be a reality in the next decade? Come and learn what the future holds.
All the Presidents’ Women *RR
Thursday, October 13, 7 pm
The award winning Delvena Theatre Company presents a one hour presentation that takes a behind closed doors look at three of America’s most accomplished and complex First Ladies. Using period costumes, props, and music, two actresses portray Mary Todd Lincoln, Edith Wilson, and Florence Harding with insight, drama, and humor. The presentation is followed by a half hour discussion.

Drop in to help create this magazine written by, for and about kids, and published by the library. Bring in finished, original artwork, puzzles, poems, comics, jokes, or create it while you are here. Grades 3-5
Toe Jam Halloween Spooktacular *RR
Wednesday, October 19, 6:30 pm
Trick or treat with Toe Jam’s all original Halloween songs & puppets. Toe Jam will dress up the kids in their kooky Halloween gear and dance some spooky dances like ‘Do the Frankie!’ (as in Frankenstein!). The show is full of Toe Jammy Monsters and silly string too. Boo to you! Ages 3+

Columbus Day
The Library will be closed Monday, October 10 in observance of Columbus Day.
Bird Watching Kit
The library has a Bird Watching Kit available to borrow for three weeks. The kit contains binoculars, three books birdwatching books, and backyard birding flashcards in a vinyl tote bag. Learn about the birds in your backyard or take the kit on a field trip to one of Massachusetts bird sanctuaries with the library’s Massachusetts Audubon pass.
