LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Voter Sick Of One-Party Rule, Supports Girouard For State Rep

Dear Editor,

I give my heartfelt support for Paul Girouard for state representative to represent 3 towns:  Bedford , Burlington  and Wilmington’s Precinct 3.

Girouard ran for state representative for the first time in 2014.   I was very impressed with his integrity, trustworthiness, and honesty.   We need to elect Paul Girouard for State Representative. He will stand up for the taxpayers. He opposes the paint tax, opposes local new taxes, supports the rollback of the income tax to 5%, and opposes new taxes on job creators (small business).  On the other hand, the incumbent Ken Gordon (D-Bedford) has voted 6 times to raise the state gas tax.  He also voted for a bill to tax drivers based on how many miles they drive, a so-called “commuter tax.”

We have a one-party state, with a Democratic-controlled state legislature on Beacon Hill with no checks and balances. They want more taxes, new taxes, more mandates, and more government overreaches.  They are in the pockets of special interests and don’t want to represent our voters and taxpayers.  They want more burden to our taxpayers.  We don’t need new taxes and more taxes. Our state government is too big and out of control.  Taxpayers have had enough.  It is time for politicians and government to learn to live within their means as we do.

Voters are tired of status quo.  We need change the status quo now.  Please consider joining me in voting for Paul Girouard for State Representative on November 8th.

Sincerely,
John Stella
