WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, September 26, 2016:
- A Cunningham Street resident reported an ongoing issue with cars speeding in the area and making it unsafe for him to exit his driveway. He requested additional speed patrons in the area. (6:21am)
- An employee at Benevento Sand & Stone on Salem Street reported a large amount of copper was stolen over the weekend. (6:56am)
- 16-year-old female Shawsheen Tech student refused to go to school. School Resource Officer from the Tech was notified. (8:24am)
- Police notified DPW over a dislodged manhole on Ballardvale Street. (2:23pm)
- A Webber Street caller reported a fox sighting. Animal was gone by the time the Animal Control Officer arrived. (3:35pm)
- Police noticed several cars full of teens in the Market Basket parking lot littering. Police spoke with the group, who will be cleaning up and leaving shortly. (8:03pm)
- Jon L. Bumpus (51, Wilmington) was issued a summons for an OUI (Liquor). Bumpus crashed into a pole at Flordale Avenue and Burlington Avenue. No injuries noted. Police notified RMLD and Verizon. (10:33pm)
