8 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (October 3, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 8 things you need to know in Wilmington for Monday, October 3, 2016.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see scattered showers, mainly after 2pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

#2) The Wilmington School Committee meets in Executive Session (closed to the public) at 7pm in the Roman House’s Conference Room.  Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs:

  • Wilmington Community Playgroup (9:30am-10:30am)
  • Historic Boston Light & the Boston Harbor Islands National & State Park (2:30pm-3:30pm)
  • Read To Zoey The Listening Labrador (6:30pm-7:30pm)

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its typical Monday activities:

  • Blood Pressure Clinic (9:30am)
  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Quilting (1pm)

#5) Several Wilmington High School sports teams are in action:

  • BOYS Varsity Golf vs Melrose at Hillview Country Club – 3:30pm
  • GIRLS JV Soccer vs Beverly at Shawsheen School – 4:00pm
  • GIRLS Varsity Soccer vs Beverly at Wilmington High School — 6:00pm
