8 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (October 2, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 8 things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, October 2, 2016.

#1) The Wilmington Farmers Market is open every Sunday, from June 12 to October 9 (minus July 3), from 10am to 1pm, across from the Town Common.  Read this week’s lineup HERE.  Josh Jacobs will be performing.

#2) The North of Boston Boat Sale & Expo is wrapping up from 10am to 4pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). Admission and parking is free.

#3) The Wilmington Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is holding its monthly Open House from 2pm to 4pm.

#4) Farther Early will be conducting a blessing of pets at 1:30pm at St. Thomas. If there is no rain, the event will take place outdoors near the church’s Marian shrine. If there is rain, the event will take place inside Villanova Hall.

#5) After Saturday’s tryouts were rained out, the Wilmington Little League is holding its final majors tryouts at 10am at Rotary Park. Learn more HERE.

#6) There is a yard sale from 10am to 1pm on Fiorenza Drive. Learn more HERE.

#7)  The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal’s history and its impact on the area, including Wilmington.
