POLICE LOG for September 24: iPhone Stolen From Store, Parking Issues At Shawsheen During Soccer

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, September 24, 2016:

  • Police notified DPW of a large tree down on Marion Street. (7:21am)
  • A caller reported parking complaints at the Shawsheen School parking lot during soccer games. Police responded and found emergency vehicles did have sufficient access and egress. Police spoke with a couple of youth soccer board members advising them of the parking rules and regulations. (10:09am)
  • Police issued 3 parking citations at or near the Shawsheen School parking lot. (10:47am)
  • A caller reported approximately 10 ties were left next to fire hydrant on Adelaman Road. Police notified DPW. (2:20pm)
  • Police drove an intoxicated female to her residence. (2:57pm)
  • Police placed Elizabeth A. Toglia (46, Wilmington) in protective custody after MBTA police reported an intoxicated female on the platform at the Wilmington Center train station. (4:11pm)
  • A Salvation Army employee reported an iPhone was stolen off the counter. An app was used to locate the phone in Somerville. Police contacted Somerville PD. (4:55pm)
  • A resident reported a younger male in a green Celtics shirt had been screaming obscenities for over 2 hours on the WHS basketball court. Police were unable to locate the man. (5:52pm)
  • A Nichols Street resident reported excessive speeding in the area and motorcycles being too loud at the stop sign. Resident reported extra patrols in the area. (6:37pm)
