WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, September 26 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.
There is a good deal on the agenda, including:
- Selectmen will recognize the Wilmington Sons of Italy for its generosity in the community, including its recent funding of the Town’s new ‘Welcome To Wilmington’ sign on the Town Common.
- Selectmen will consider a request from Fourth of July Committee Chairman Scott Garrant in order to use the Town Common for a Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 3. Garrant and Town Manager Jeff Hull will also discuss some planning information regarding the 2017 Fun on the Fourth celebration.
- Selectmen will receive a written update on the recent lead testing in Wilmington Public Schools from Public Buildings Superintendent George Hooper.
- Selectmen will receive news from the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission regarding its eLicensing program and an advisory around Alcohol-Infused Ice Cream.
- Selectmen will receive news from the Reading Municipal Light Department about RMLD’s National Public Power Week festivities.
- Selectmen will consider the request of a resident to once again light up the Town Common pink in October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
- Selectmen will consider the request of Town Clerk Sharon George to appoint additional election workers.
The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon. The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.

The public meeting at 7pm will proceeds an executive session meeting (closed to the public) at 6pm.
