POLICE LOG for September 18: Handgun Flashed; Smashing Pumpkins; Man Placed In PC

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, September 18, 2016:

  • Robert Wumsh (26, Middleton) was placed in protective custody.  Police came across his vehicle abandoned, with keys ignition and a flat tire on Burlington Avenue. (12:09am)
  • An erratic operator was witness near the North Intermediate School, driving over the yellow lines. Operator got onto 93 North. State Police notified. (7:24am)
  • Police notified DPW that the red light at Main Street and Grove Avenue was not working. (12:31pm)
  • A minor 2-car accident took place at AL Prime gas station on Main Street. (2:09pm)
  • State Police put out a Be-On-The-Lookout alert for a gray Nissan Rogue, which got off Exit 40. The driver, a Hispanic male in his 20’s, flashed a handgun to a civilian. Police locate the vehicle on Earles Row.  State Police handled. (3:15pm)
  • A pumpkin was smashed against the back of Town Hall. No damage to building. (5:55pm)
