POLICE LOG for September 16: Bottle Thrown Through Car Window; Motorcycle Crash; Injured Bird

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, September 16, 2016:

  • An injured bird was reported on the roof of Aramark Refreshment Services on Ballardvale Street. The bird was removed with the assistance of the Fire Department and taken to a vet in Tewksbury. (9:26am)
  • A Salem Street caller reported a school zone sign was close to falling over due to rust and wind. DPW removed the sign and will replace on Monday. (12:44pm)
  • A caller reported a group of kids threw a metal bar as his black 2016 Honda Civic while in the Sonic parking lot. Kids fled behind Ristuccia Arena. Police did not observe an visible damage to the Civic. (2:55pm)
  • Police assisted a driver who locked himself out of a vehicle on Milton Way. (2:59pm)
  • A walk-in party reported $50 was stolen from her at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. (2:43pm)
  • A motorcycle and car were involved in a crash at Jacquith Road and Kendall Street. No injuries noted. Motorcycle was towed. (4:43pm)
  • A red 2012 Toyota Prius and a blue 2015 Ford Explorer were involved in a crash at Woburn Street and Lowell Street. No injuries reported. (6:30pm)
  • A Swain Road resident reported their car was broken into overnight with several items taken. (6:32pm)
  • A resident reported a car drove by and threw a bottle through their car’s rear window on Cunningham Street. (9:38pm)
