READING, MA — His Eminence Cardinal Seán O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston, visited Austin Prep for the first time on September 21, 2016.
The Cardinal celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving with students, parents, alumni and faculty/staff. He also blessed Meelia Hall, formerly called the MultiPurpose Facility. Meelia Hall is named in honor of alumnus Richard J. Meelia ’67, who attended the event with his family.
After the event, Cardinal O’Malley and Mr. Meelia met with some students during a small reception.
