WHS Girls Soccer To Host 5th Annual “Kick Cancer Games” On September 27

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington and Stoneham Girls High School Soccer programs invite you to join them again this year to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.  The teams’ annual Kick Cancer Games will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 4:30pm (JV) and 6pm (Varsity) at Wilmington High School’s Alumni Stadium.  (The Freshmen teams will play on Monday, September 26 at 3:45pm at the Shawhseen fields.)

Wilmington Youth Soccer and Stoneham Soccer Club players will get in FREE to the Kick Cancer games on September 27 as long as they’re wearing their WYSA or SSC soccer gear. Each player will receive a Kick Cancer wristband for a $3 donation to the Hope & Friendship Metastatic Breast Cancer Foundation.

Both teams are selling “kick cancer” shirts for $20, including black and white long-sleeve performance shirts. Extra large golf umbrellas are also on sale for $25. Order forms can be found HERE.

Send orders to Caryn Goulet at gordongroup2[at]verizon.net by Saturday, October 1. Orders will be available for pick-up at the Kick Cancer Bubble Soccer and/or Corn Hole tournaments on Sunday, October 16, 2016. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Hope and Friendship Metastatic Breast Cancer Foundation, a community-based patient support organization for men and women with Stage IV breast cancer serving Middlesex and Essex communities as well as Southern NH. Hope and Friendship provide FREE and confidential services to patients and their families including: Bi-weekly support groups; Scholarships to cancer seminars & conferences; Symptom relieving treatments & equipment; Retreat programs (wheelchair ramps, massage, acupuncture, etc.); and Enrichment & Bereavement Programs.
