WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Department of Elderly Services would like to acknowledge that extra special good neighbor — that person that gets your mail, takes out the trash, shovels your walkway, picks up groceries, and just goes ‘above and beyond.’
Seniors are encouraged to give the names and addresses of the special neighbors in their lives to the Center’s Front Desk by Wednesday, September 21. The Center will make sure to provide the Good Samaritans with a special baked treat on “Good Neighbor Day” on Wednesday, September 28.
There are so many special people that make up the Wilmington community, this is one more way that we can give back to those that made Wilmington the top 10 happiest towns in Massachusetts to reside.
