Coming To Shredding Day This Saturday? Bring Food Donations For Food Pantry!

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting its sixth annual Shredding Day on Saturday, September 24, from 9am to noon, in the Wilmington Town Common Parking Lot.  The event is free of charge to residents.

Two shredding trucks will be on hand to handle the volume.  The event is meant for household shredding in reasonable quantities.  The library reserves the right to limit the amount of shredding due to wait time or truck space. Paper clips, rubber bands, and staples do NOT need to be removed.

It’s important to note that the Wilmington Community Fund, which runs the Wilmington Food Pantry, is subsidizing the cost of the shredding trucks.  As a result, the library is encouraging all participants to bring nonperishable food items to the event.  All donations will be given to the Food Pantry.
