WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a recent game summary from Wilmington Youth Hockey:
Wilmington Squirt 1 vs. Hyde Park AAA
Saturday, September 10, 2016
LaConte Memorial Rink (Medford)
Great first outing for the 2016-2017 Squirt 1’s vs Hyde Park AAA. Exciting first period with great back and forth action. Zack Mackeil stuffed one passed the goal keeper at 9:53 of the first period to put the Wildcats up on top. Zack would stuff two more goals in the second period rounding out a big time first game for him with a Hat Trick, with one of the second period goals coming from scoring on a penalty shot that Zack earned winning a foot race the puck and then being taken down by a Hyde Park defenseman. Wildcats would stuff one more goal in late in the third to come from behind and tie the game up. Absolutely phenomenal goal tending by Chris Ellis who made some incredible saves, a strong defensive effort, and some big league aggressive play from the offense all contributed to a very positive first outing for these youngsters.
