POLICE LOG for September 13: Debit Card Stolen From Vehicle & Used; Bad Crash On Main St.

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, September 13, 2016:

  • A caller reported finding an abandoned suitcase and hypodermic needles under the Concord Street/I-93 bridge while running. Police noted lots of trash, but no needles. (11:30am)
  • A Lucaya Circle resident reported a phone scam. (11:48am)
  • A Longview Road resident reported his identity was stolen and he is receiving collection notices. (12:09pm)
  • Police received report of a tire in the first lane on 93 South, near Exit 41. Police notified Mass Highway. (2:23pm)
  • A caller reported a motorcycle driver was operating erratically on Burlington Avenue, possibly texting while driving. Police were unable to locate. (5:55pm)
  • A gray 2002 Volkswagen Jetta and a gray 2011 Nissan Versa were involved in a heads-on crash in front of Rite Aid on Main Street. Both vehicles deployed. Both airbags deployed. Both operators refused transport. One operator was cited for failure to yield. (6:11pm)
  • A Swain Road resident reported her debit card was taken out of her vehicle sometime overnight and used. (10:39pm)
