WILMINGTON, MA — Robert M. Monteiro “Montey”, age 68, of Wilmington, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on September 18, 2016.
Robert was the loving husband of Judith F. (Collins) Monteiro, proud father of Robert P. Monteiro & his wife Adrienne of Millis and Greg J. Monteiro of Wilmington, doting grandfather of Dorothy, Isabella & Juliana Monteiro, cherished son of the late Caetano Valente and Maria C. “Connie” (Abreu) Monteiro, dear brother of Benny Monteiro & his wife Karin of NH, the late Albert Moreira and Sally Peeples. Bob was also the brother-in-law of Estralina Moreira, Elizabeth & Bob Maher, Barbara & Frank McKinnon, Virginia Fyler, Dave & Roberta Collins, Dorothy Collins, Walter Collins, Sue & Bob Frongillo, the late Richie and Steve Collins, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Thursday, September 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21st from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Robert’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Robert proudly served as a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam War.
