11 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (September 20)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 11 things you need to know in Wilmington for Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

#1) Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm at the Friendship Lodge (32 Church Street). Learn more HERE.

#2) The Wilmington High School’s Choral and Theatre Support (WHS CATS) parent group and the 99 Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) in celebraring 15 years of the restaurant from 11am to 11:30pm. 10% of all net sales on this date will be donated to WHS CATS. Learn more HERE.

#3) State Representative Ken Gordon (D-Bedford), who represents Precinct 3 in Wilmington, will host office hours from 7pm to 8pm in the small conference room at Wilmington Town Hall (121 Glen Road).

#4) The Wilmington Board of Library Trustees meets at 7pm at the Wilmington Memorial Library (Banda Room). Read the agenda HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is screening “Captain America: Civil War” at 6:30pm. Learn more and regsiter HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is hosting its normal Tuesday activities —  Walking Group (9am); Zumba (9am); Computer Class (9:15am); Bocce (9:30am); Aerobics (10:30am); and Wii Bowling (12:30pm). The Center is also holding a presentation on prepaid funerals at 1pm and presenting at the library at 7pm. Learn more HERE.

#7) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

#8) The WHS Varsity Boys Golf team takes on Stoneham at 3:30pm at Bear Hill Country Club. The WHS Boys & Girls Cross Country teams host Arlington at 3:30pm. The WHS Varsity Field Hockey team battles Wakefield at 3:45pm at Wakefield High.

#9) Red Heat Tavern is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.

#10) Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones.  Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks!  A luncheon is served as noon.  There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.
