Wilmington Youth Hockey’s Buzzer Registration Is Now Open

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Youth Hockey’s Buzzers program is a fun introduction to the game of hockey with an emphasis on skills, including stops & starts, edgework, and puck handling. There are typically two practices a week — Saturdays at 7am and Sundays, from 1:30 pm to 2:50 pm – at Ristuccia Arena (190 Main Street).

The program is set to begin on Saturday, September 24.  This program is restricted to participants born on or after 01/01/2003 and on or before 12/31/2012.

Each session is dedicated to skill building and, as the season progresses, Sunday will also include cross-ice scrimmages as well as some cross-ice games vs other programs.

Goals of the Buzzers level include:

  • Develop skating and puck control skills of the individual player
  • Introduce basic shooting and passing skills
  • Introduce goalie position
  • Introduce basic game play
