WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Volleyball Team (0-3) dropped its third straight game to begin the season, suffering a 3-0 loss to Medford at Medford High on Monday, September 12.
The Wildcats dropped all three sets — Set 1 (21-25), Set 2 (16-25), and Set 3 (17-25).
Statistical leaders for the Wildcats included:
- Emily Hill (6 serves with 2 aces, 6 assists)
- Christina Woods (6 serves with 3 aces)
- Sabrina Doyle (2 kills)
- Heather Pozzi (2 kills)
“Both teams were very scrappy, making spectacular saves and keeping balls alive… The team has begun playing with more cofidence,” says Head Coach Bruce Shainwald.
