WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Volleyball Team (1-3) earned its first win of the season, sweeping Belmont at home on Tuesday, September 13.
The Wildcats dropped all three sets — Set 1 (25-16), Set 2 (25-12), and Set 3 (25-16).
Statistical leaders for the Wildcats included:
- Christina Woods (23 serves with 4 aces)
- Heather Pozzi (11 serves with 3 aces, 6 kills)
- Caroline Andersen (10 kills)
- Christina Woods (5 kills)
- Lauren Field (26 assists)
“Wilmington seems to have found right lineup to achieve success,” says Head Coach Bruce Shainwald. “This was a sold performance from all the veterans on the team. They were hungry to show what they were capable of and they certainly did with a complete performance.”
