WILMINGTON WEATHER: Forecast For September 14

WILMINGTON, MA — According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington’s weather forecast for Wednesday, September 14, 2016 looks like:

  • Today: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and frequent lightning. Increasing clouds, with a high near 86. Southwest wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm, then a slight chance of showers between 10pm and 1am. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 53. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

The three-day forecast currently looks like:

  • Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 71. Northeast wind around 7 mph.
  • Thursday night: Clear, with a low around 46. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Friday: Sunny, with a high near 74.
  • Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51.
