WILMINGTON, MA — Here are 10 things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
#1) The WHS Varsity Field Hockey team hosts Belmont at 6pm at Wilmington High School. Prior to the game, Taylor Twellman, former Major League Soccer all-star and current ESPN Lead Soccer Analyst, will visit the teams to discuss concussion safety around 5:15pm at Alumni Stadium. Learn more HERE.
#2) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 6:30pm in the Wilmington High School’s Large Instruction Room. Read the agenda HERE. Topics include: Introduction of new staff, a proposed new substance use policy, the formation of a ‘later start time’ working group, success of the summer athletic camps, and discussion of the Superintendent’s Goals for the school year.
#3) The Wilmington Board of Appeals meets at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a talk on How To Sell on Craigslist and Amazon at 7pm. Learn more and register HERE.
#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding many of its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); Country Line Dancing (1pm); and Yoga (3:45pm). Also, the Podiatrist is making her monthly visit at 9:30am. Learn more HERE.
#6) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.

#9) The Wilmington Boosters Club is holding its monthly meeting at 7pm in the WHS Cafeteria.
#10) The Wilmington High School Guidance Department is holding a Coffee Hour For Parents from 7:45am to 9am in the WHS Large Group Instruction Room. Guidance staffers will review college planning and application procedures and answer questions.
