WILMINGOTN, MA — New England pet lovers, pet parents, pets and their families are gearing up for another exciting, tail-wagging experience as leading national event production company Amazing Pet Expos announces their sixth annual New England Pet Expo at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). The free-admission event opens to the public on Saturday, September 17th, from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, September 18th, from 11am to 4pm.
The exposition showcases national sponsor Petfinder.com and will feature a huge mega-adoption event with a variety of adoptable pets who are looking for a new forever friend and home from local New England rescue and adoption organizations. Attendees and their pets can also check out STEM Bunnies Agility Course, the K9Edge/German Shepherd Resource and Rescue Center Training Hub, enjoy live presentations on the entertainment stage, get free nail trims, and participate in competitions on the contest stage!
“There is something for everyone and every pet at this year’s New England Pet Expo,” says Ethan Barnett, Vice President of Events. “All pets are welcome and invited to attend this fun filled weekend where pets and people are always treated as equals and are never discriminated against. In fact, it’s really a weekend to celebrate everything pet!”
The New England Pet Expo invites attendees and their pets to explore more than 110 exhibitor booths featuring various unique pet products, pet clothing and accessories, pet treats and more. In addition, attendees can learn about exotic animals and wildlife conservation as well as local rescue organizations and how they can help save, foster, adopt or care for local animals in need. There will also be an exotic “Creature Feature”, with the Rainforest Reptile Shows organization. The expanded event format follows a major announcement from Amazing Pet Expos that all 30 shows in 2016 will expand to two days.
“We’ve received so many requests from exhibitors and attendees over the years about moving to a larger two-day show in order to reach more people and make a larger impact,” says Barnett. “A huge part of our initiative is to help people become better pet companions, and we felt that the addition of the extra day really helps with that. We’re so ecstatic to expand our format to further benefit local pet communities across the country.”
The free, indoor, and air-conditioned New England Pet Expo attracts more than 12,000 attendees along with their furry, feathered, and reptilian pals who are looking to enjoy a new and one-of-a-kind experience where all pets can enjoy a fun day or two out with their pet parent(s). All well-behaved pets are welcome, as long as they’re on a fixed lead (or in a carrier) and have proof of age-appropriate rabies vaccines.
